LACMA Gala 2025: $6.5M Raised for the Arts

LACMA’s 2025 Art+Film Gala Raises Record $6.5 Million, Honors Mary Corse and Ryan Coogler

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) celebrated its 14th annual Art+Film Gala on November 1, 2025, drawing nearly 600 prominent figures from the worlds of art, film, fashion, and entertainment and raising a record-breaking $6.5 million. This year’s event paid tribute to acclaimed artist Mary Corse and celebrated filmmaker Ryan Coogler, director of Sinners.

The gala, briefly delayed due to the conclusion of the World Series, resumed with emotional tributes and a performance by Doja Cat. LACMA’s CEO, Michael Govan, addressed the audience, stating, “We’re art, film, creativity, all deeply intertwined. I always say this is the most creative place on Earth, and you are it, here, all of you.” The event was co-chaired by LACMA trustee Eva Chow and actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

The substantial funds raised will be allocated to integrating film more deeply into LACMA’s curatorial programs and furthering the museum’s overall artistic vision. Gucci served as the presenting sponsor for the 2025 gala, continuing a partnership that began with the event’s inception in 2011.

A Night of Fashion Statements

The gala showcased a stunning array of fashion choices, with many attendees embracing bold and iconic looks. Fashion icon Cindy Crawford and her daughter, Kaia Gerber, turned heads. Gerber opted for a striking, sequined lipstick-red design reminiscent of the Versace dress her mother famously wore to the 1991 Oscars alongside Richard Gere. Crawford herself chose a golden, off-the-shoulder gown.

“Nothing makes me happier,” Crawford previously told Vogue, reflecting on Gerber’s appreciation for her past style, “If she wants to wear something that I wore 30 years ago, what bigger compliment is that?”

British actress and singer Cynthia Erivo captivated onlookers in a Schiaparelli gown from the Autumn/Winter 2025 collection. The pearl-embellished dress featured three-dimensional eyes designed by Daniel Roseberry, creating a dramatic optical illusion.

Gucci’s Ubiquitous Presence

The influence of Gucci was undeniable throughout the evening. American model and influencer Alex Consani donned a sheer Gucci number, seated alongside the fashion house’s creative director, Demna Gvasalia, who was also sporting Gucci. Actress Demi Moore and her daughter, Tallulah Willis, were also in attendance.

A group including influencer Devon Lee Carlson, Consani, model and actress Iris Law, Gerber, and model Paloma Elsesser were photographed in conversation, sparking speculation about the topics of discussion.

Honoring Artistic Vision

The evening also served as a celebration of artistic achievement. James Turrell, an American artist, took to the stage to honor Mary Corse, describing her as “one of the keepers of the light.” Govan announced the record-breaking fundraising total, emphasizing the impact the funds will have on LACMA’s programming.

Media personality Paris Hilton, a trustee of LACMA, arrived with her husband, Carter Reum, wearing a head-to-toe Gucci ensemble. The look featured a sheer lace gown layered over a nude bodysuit, completed with a matching choker, diamond bracelets, and black heels.

The 2025 LACMA Art+Film Gala underscored the enduring power of art, film, and fashion, and the vital role philanthropy plays in supporting cultural institutions.
