[국감현장]“Accompanying the execution of the accompanying order… “A morning adjournment is necessary.”
“Why is the Democratic Party following…? There is also a backlash saying, “There must be a distinction between morality and law.”
During the National Assembly audit of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee, it was temporarily adjourned to issue an accompanying order to Kim Tae-young, CEO of 21 Gram, who is suspected of preferential treatment during the contract for the expansion of the Presidential Office residence.
At the National Assembly audit of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee held at the National Assembly on the morning of the 24th, Moon Jin-seok, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, requested that an agenda be submitted to issue an accompanying order for 21 Gram CEO Kim Tae-young, One Top General Construction CEO Lee Jae-seon, and Jeon Hae-gap, CEO of Ahwon Gotaek, to attend the national administration audit. He requested that the National Assembly inspection be suspended for the sake of delivery and execution.
At the same time, he said, “I don’t think it is right for only the employees of the administrative office to go when ordering accompanying people,” and added, “Members who can go should go together and issue an accompanying order.”
On the other hand, the ruling party argued that the government audit should be resumed because the deadline for witnesses to appear was 4 p.m., and the execution of the accompanying order was the exclusive task of National Assembly office staff.
Kim Do-eup, a member of the People Power Party, pointed out, “The National Assembly office staff can execute with authority as stipulated in the law,” and added, “Democratic Party members of the National Assembly say it is the duty to go together, but duty and law must be distinguished.”
Rep. Kwon Young-se of the same party also said, “From a legal perspective, if you decide in advance to issue an order to accompany a person who is scheduled to arrive by 4 o’clock and drag him away in advance, it could be considered a crime of kidnapping.”
Afterwards, the ruling and opposition parties exchanged shouts, saying, “We must follow the law,” and “What does it matter if we adjourn without lunch?”
In the end, Chairman Maeng Seong-gyu held a meeting after declaring the adjournment and approved the issuance of an accompanying order. It has been about an hour since the National Assembly was declared.
Meanwhile, Kim Tae-young, CEO of 21 Gram, Lee Jae-seon, CEO of Onetop General Construction, and Jeon Hae-gap, CEO of Ahwon Gotaek, are suspected of preferential treatment in the contract process for the expansion of the presidential office residence.
