Jaffna Kings’ Avishka Fernando and Godmore hit half-centuries against Kale Gladiators in the Sri Lanka Premier League.

The Lanka Premier League T20 cricket series was held. The Jaffna Kings – Kale Gladiators teams competed in the final yesterday.
Jaffna Kings won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 201 for 3. Starter Avishka Fernando hit a half-century and was dismissed for 63. Godmore was out for 57. Wicket-keeper Gurbas was dismissed for 35.
Following this, the Kale Gladiators team entered the field with a target of 202 to win. Dhanushka Gunathilaka was the only batsman in the team to score 54 runs. Kusal Mendis scored 39 runs. Others snatched the wicket at regular intervals.
In the end, the Kale Gladiators scored only 178 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. The Jaffna Kings won by 23 runs to win the trophy.
Vahindu Hasaranga and Sathuranga de Silva took 2 wickets each for Jaffna. The Man of the Match and Man of the Series awards were presented to Avishka Fernando.
