Media outlets reported, “Rafic Hariri International Airport, the only airport in Lebanon, witnessed a temporary power outage in its eastern section.”

In southern Lebanon, Israeli forces continued their air strikes and artillery shelling, as they targeted tonight, with artillery, the town of Yaroun, and launched raids on Khiam, Tibnin, Jibshit and other villages in the south. In the Bekaa, Israeli raids targeted the Hermel outskirts, where 3 paramedics were killed as a result of an Israeli bombing that targeted ambulance centers in The towns of Joya, Jadalzon, and Ainata in southern Lebanon.

The Ministry of Health in the Lebanese caretaker government announced that “Israeli raids on a number of areas in Lebanon yesterday led to the death of 23 people and the wounding of 93.”

In this context, the Israeli army reported, today, Sunday, that “its forces attacked last night a series of combat targets belonging to Israel has no intention of staying permanently in Gaza, says defense minister”>Hezbollah in the Beirut area.”

The Israeli army spokesman, Avichay Ardaei, said in an official statement: “During hours last night, Air Force warplanes, under precise intelligence guidance from the Intelligence Authority, launched a series of raids in the Beirut area targeting a number of weapons depots and other structures belonging to the Lebanese Hezbollah.”

Adraee stressed that “the Israeli army will continue to strike Hezbollah forcefully until it is stripped of its capabilities and military infrastructure in Lebanon.”

In addition, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) noted that “more than 100 children were killed in Lebanon within 11 days, while 690 others were injured during the last six weeks as a result of the Israeli attacks on Lebanon.”

The organization said on the “X” platform, “Wounded children are suffering from bleeding, bruises and fractures,” and called for “a ceasefire to protect children as physical injuries and psychological suffering have risen dramatically.”

In this context, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati praised the French President’s call to stop delivering weapons to Israel to fight in Gaza, calling for pressure on Tel Aviv to cease fire and adhere to Resolution 1701.

Mikati said in a statement, “Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s attack on President Emmanuel Macron simply because he demanded to stop delivering weapons to Israel to fight in Gaza and considering that the priority is a political solution instead of continuing the war proves the correctness of the French position.”

Mikati considered that “what Macron said expresses lofty human values, in advocating for truth, stopping violence, and resorting to peaceful solutions that remove the specter of wars and killing,” and said: “It is not surprising that this position was met with clear hostility from Netanyahu, who constitutes a disgrace to all of humanity.”

Mikati added, “We in Lebanon have experienced the honorable positions of President Macron in supporting Lebanon, its stability and sovereignty, and his tireless efforts to stop the continuing Israeli aggression against our people and our land. We renew our support for the joint appeal issued by France and the United States, with the support of the European Union and Arab and foreign countries, and we call for pressure on Israel.” To adhere to the ceasefire and implement Resolution 1701 immediately.”

Macron had said in a statement earlier, that “the priority at this moment must be to stop the flow of weapons that are fueling the conflict,” and called on the French president to stop arming Israel, stressing that “Paris did not supply it with weapons during its war on the Gaza Strip.” Macron added that “The priority today is to return to a political solution and stop delivering weapons to Israel to fight battles in Gaza.”

Since the end of September, Israeli forces have launched massive air attacks that included various areas in Lebanon, causing hundreds of deaths and thousands of injuries, in addition to massive destruction and the displacement of about a million people.

A field officer in Hezbollah’s operations room confirmed that “more than 25 officers and soldiers from the elite Israeli forces were killed and more than 130 others were injured since the announcement of the start of its ground operation towards the villages of southern Lebanon.”
