Tonight, Prime Minister Yair Lapid entered the caretaker Prime Minister’s residence. His wife, Lehi, uploaded a document from Instagram from home and wrote “Balfour Street in Jerusalem – a new beginning.”
Unlike his predecessor, Bennett, who remained living in Raanana, Lapid decided to move to Jerusalem. Since Shimon, the official prime minister, needed renovations, Lapid decided to move to a nearby apartment, where the security guards of the prime minister’s house still live. The house, which is located in the secure compound of Balfour Street, saves the costs of building the defense, as was done in Bennett’s apartment in Raanana.
According to Lapid’s photo, the house appears to be in good condition, probably compared to the official residence, and is equipped at a level appropriate to the prime minister. Lapid is expected to live in the House for the next four months until the election, and then until the next government is formed.
