Samsung is adding more AI functions to its televisions. The new software allows users to plan travel routes and automatically generate translated subtitles using voice commands. In collaboration with Microsoft, the Copilot assistant is also being integrated, which is intended to make the TV experience more interactive and personalized.
The Koreans are also presenting the new model “The Frame Pro”, a further development of the well-known screen series that functions as a digital picture frame. The QN990F was presented as a technical highlight, an 8K QLED television that not only displays high-resolution images, but also upscales low-resolution content to 8K quality using innovative image analysis technology.
Whether advertising, the charge level of the battery in electric vehicles or the manufacturer’s logo – the rear side windows of cars can be used for many purposes. There are already car-sharing vehicles in cities that use these options, but they have a classic flat-screen monitor attached to the window.
Supplier Continental is presenting its own solution at the CES: To display content on the side windows, the system uses a miniature projector in the roof lining and a side window that can be completely electrically darkened for the highest possible contrast, which serves as a projection surface.
In combination with AI-based software, the system suggests suitable projections: On the way to the football game, the car can display the logo of the favorite club, or the battery level or the expected duration of the upcoming journey is displayed on the windows before you get in, if that Destination was entered previously.
Roborock presents the Saros Z70 household robot at CES. This can not only vacuum and mop, but also pick up small objects such as socks, towels or shoes from the floor and bring them to a predetermined location. This is done with an extendable gripper arm that can lift objects weighing up to 300 grams.
