LH “Solving traffic problems in Pangyo 2 Valley through parking enforcement and road expansion”

by times news cr

Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 23rd that it would resolve the inconvenience through parking management and road expansion in relation to the resignation of employees of tenant companies due to traffic difficulties in Pangyo 2 Valley.

According to LH, the bridge connecting the first and second stages of Pangyo 2 Valley was opened early in November last year due to the inconvenience caused by congestion and traffic congestion after companies moved into the second phase of Pangyo 2 Valley. Additionally, bus routes are being expanded.

However, LH explains that in Pangyo 2 Valley, there is a mix of companies currently operating and large-scale construction work, so there is a lot of parking in the lanes for construction vehicles, making it difficult to use all lanes.

Accordingly, LH is managing traffic by opening a temporary parking lot and deploying guides to manage parking. An LH official said, “We will pursue stronger measures to prevent illegal parking, such as expanding temporary parking lots and securing additional illegal parking management personnel,” and added, “Seongnam City plans to provide guidance and crackdown on illegal parking starting in November to ensure smooth traffic flow. “We will actively cooperate,” he said.

LH also announced plans to quickly expand roads and open new roads to improve transportation connectivity with adjacent areas in the long term.

In particular, the Dalalnae-ro lane expansion project, which connects to Daewangpangyo-ro, is planned to be completed next year. After opening, it is expected that congestion in entry and exit will be reduced. In addition, the ‘Seopangyo Connecting Road’, which connects to Seopangyo New Town, and the 2nd Gyeongin Expressway access road will be built to secure connectivity with adjacent areas.

In addition, we plan to conduct a traffic flow improvement service in Pangyo 2 Valley to further review the traffic status and problems, and draw and actively reflect improvement measures to alleviate congestion before opening new roads.
