Malaikottai Valiban is a film directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery after Nanpakal Nerath Mayakkum. This is the Mohanlal movie that Malayalam movie lovers are eagerly waiting for.
Valiban is Lijo’s 10th film and his first film directed by Mohanlal. Malaikottai Valiban will hit theaters on 25th of this month.
Now, in an interview given to Manorama News as part of the film’s promotion, Lijo Jose Pellissery is answering the question whether Lijo has changed to the way of making content oriented films with star value.
It cannot be said that Valiban is a film made with loose content. I feel that Valiban also has very strong content. It has to be prepared on such a large canvas to be successful.
A star like Lullaby is the most important element needed to believably tell a story set on a large canvas and landscape.
Lalletan is at the most important point of this film because it believes so strongly,’ said Lijo Jose Pellissery.
In an interview, when asked how relevant the film Valiban is in his career, Lijo’s answer was that it is equally relevant in his career and life.
‘Most relevant in my life. This is a film about my career at its peak. Valiban is my 10th film.
This film is very relevant as it is a film that comes together. It is relevant both in career and life,’ says Lijo Jose Pellissery.
