The senators of the National Action Party (PAN), Lilly Téllez and Morena, Yeidkol Polevnskyled a war of accusations and disqualifications during discussion of the opinion to ratify the appointment of Juan Ramon de la Fuente as Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the president’s government Claudia Sheinbaum.
The PAN member accused the Morenista of “communist” for “worshiping the regime that violates human rights in Cuba.”
In response, Polevnsky considered that Lilly Téllez is a “rubbish” of Morena. “I have friends in the PAN and I think the National Action Party deserves a lot of respectbut why do they collect rubble, why do they collect the worst that Morena did not want and that left them traumatized perhaps because my president Andrés Manuel López Obrador never gave him an appointment and left it bad, he left it very bad for a psychiatric case,” he pointed out.

Immediately, the PAN senator asked to speak to “clarify that It was I who left the Morena bench, it was I who threw them away and that even a week after leaving the Morena bench, President López Obrador ordered me to offer the candidacy to the government of Sonora and I did not accept it and I told AMLO that I did not want it because I did not want anything that had to see with Morena.”
Given the disqualifications, PRI senator Claudia Anaya invited her colleagues from the PAN and Morena to treat each other with more respect, “the arrival of women in politics is to build, it is to contribute, may it never be to destroy us, may it never be celebrated on one side and from the other from one party and from another the aggression between colleagues, let’s raise the level of debate, we have the capacity to do it”, participation that was received with applause by the Assembly.
