The most important cabaret award in the German-speaking region of Switzerland goes to author Oltner and cabaret artist Lisa Christ. Till Reiners won for Germany, Alex Kristan won in Austria.
The 2025 Salzburg Bull goes to Lisa Christ. As a millennial, author and cabaret artist Oltner uses social media as skillfully as she does on the theater stage: she’s showing theater audiences and fans how political the private sphere is for years.
She relentlessly explores what it means to be a woman in the 21st century. She faces Long Covid and broken relationships, finds her way from laughing to crying and back. No one creates as many authentic cabaret sparks as Lisa Christ.
This is also the case in her current program “LOVE*”: In it, Lisa Christ imitates her love life and enters into a wild relationship with her audience: a sensitive and angry stage song without taboos. In the SRF satirical radio column “Zytlupe” from 2019, she mischievously attacks and names the contradictions in Swiss society and politics.
A portrait of the Swiss prize winner can be heard on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 8 pm on “Spasspartout” on Radio SRF 1 or now Podcast.
International Radio Cabaret Award
Every year Salzburger Stier awards prizes to the best satirists, comedians and slam poets from Switzerland, Germany and Austria. The award is presented jointly by public broadcasters SRF, ORF, ARD and RAI Südtirol, which also broadcast the award ceremony on radio and podcasts. The prize is 6,000 euros each.
The award ceremony will take place from May 9 to 11, 2025 in Gütersloh, hosted by Westdeutscher Rundfunk. In the year 2024 the Salzburg bull was born SRF held in Olten.
Till Reiners wins for Germany
In Till Reiners, a master of humor is honored. His unusual observations and accurate punchlines can be experienced in five stage programs – but also on television as a guest on the “Anstalt” and the “heute-show” and as host of his own show “Till Reiners’ Happy Hour” on 3 sat.
Austria pays tribute to Alex Kristan
Alex Kristan gets the Salzburg Bull for Austria. He was known as a talented parody on the radio and has been a fixture on the cabaret stage for years. In his current single “50 Shades of Schmäh” he addresses humor and satire in a time of cultural decay and political correctness.
