Lisa Vanderpump Declines Kyle Richards Reconciliation, Teases ‘Naughtier’ Season of ‘vanderpump Rules’

A candid discussion with reality television icon Lisa Vanderpump revealed a firm stance against mending fences with former friend Kyle Richards amidst a tumultuous period for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star. During an appearance on Nightcap, Vanderpump addressed richards’ impending divorce from Mauricio Umansky and rumors of a romance with Morgan Wade, while also providing updates on her own ventures. The conversation touched on her decision to pass on The Traitors, the evolution of Vanderpump Rules, and a new restaurant opening.

No Olive Branch for Kyle Richards

Vanderpump made it clear that a reconciliation with Richards is off the table.”I’d never squash the beef. I’d swallow it whole,” she declared, adding, “I still have an axe to grind, but I’ve moved on.” Despite insisting she was “too busy” to concern herself with her former co-stars, Vanderpump admitted she was actively planning to avoid them at BravoCon, estimating “six of them” were on her list to steer clear of.

However, she acknowledged Bravo’s sensitivity to potential on-air drama. “They don’t want a problem, so they’re not going to suddenly have me sitting next to Beverly Hills housewives,” she explained.

Vanderpump did share a positive note regarding her relationship with Garcelle Beauvais, stating she “loved” Beauvais and remained in contact. She also recounted a recent exchange with Andy Cohen, revealing she told him a return to Real Housewives would only be considered if “All of them” were fired.

Weighing In on Kyle and Mauricio’s Future

Addressing the ongoing speculation surrounding Richards and Umansky’s relationship, Vanderpump suggested the situation is “complicated,” citing their children and finances. While acknowledging the possibility of a reconciliation, she also offered a pointed opinion on Richards’ romantic life. “I think she should just bring it out in the open if that’s what she wants,” Vanderpump stated. “I don’t understand what the fuss is. Where is all this ambiguity? If you want to be with a woman, be with a woman.” she referenced Richards’ own comment about potentially embracing a “Brad or Angelina” dynamic, noting, “Anybody could go Angelina or Brad.”

‘Vanderpump Rules’ Returns to Its Roots

Looking ahead, Vanderpump provided insight into the upcoming 12th season of Vanderpump Rules, which premieres on Tuesday, December 2, at 9/8c. She described a shift back to the show’s original focus. “That last season, it very much moved on from the restaurant. Now we’re back to grass roots,” she explained. “We have this nucleus, the restaurant, which always pulls them back together.”

She emphasized the dynamic between the cast members, describing them as “young, they’re naughty-naughtier,” and teasing a season filled with “very different” characters. “It feels a little vintage Vanderpump but with a whole new set of problems,” she added.

Vanderpump also confirmed she will be opening a Wolf restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona, “in about six weeks.”

Vanderpump unequivocally dismissed any involvement in the upcoming season of The Traitors. “I can unequivocally say bullsh*t.I’m not doing Traitors. I can’t say I haven’t been asked but I’m definitely not doing Traitors,” she clarified, reflecting on her 43 years of marriage with Ken Todd and joking that their relationship “lasted longer than [she] anticipated.”
