Israel says it will not allow hospitals to serve as shelters for Hamas militants
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) indicated this Tuesday that, although it does not want health centers to become battlefields, it will not allow them to be used by members of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) as shelters, thus alluding to the recent controversial raid on a hospital in Jenin, in the West Bank.
“We do not want to turn medical centers into battlefields, but we are much more determined not to allow hospitals in Gaza, Judea and Samaria (West Bank) or Lebanon, either above ground or in underground tunnels under hospitals, to become shelters for terror,” said IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari.
