On the first death anniversary of the immortal Malayalam actor Nedumudi Venu, his wife Sushila Venu dedicated a poem to him. Susheela shared the memories of her beloved by singing her first poem, Swapnadarshyam, which she wrote at the memorial service of Nedumudi Venu organized by Vayalar Ramavarma Sanskari Vedi at Mascot Hotel.
Kadakampally Surendran MLA inaugurated the event. Vayalar Rama Varma Cultural Center President Dr. G Raj Mohan presided. The acting award instituted in the name of Nedumudi Venu was presented to actor Maniyanpilla Raju and the music award to playback singer G Venugopal.
Swami Gururatnam Gnanathapaswi, Dr. Srivatsan Namboothiri, Premkumar, G Suresh Kumar, VS Sivakumar, Kaitapram Damodaran Namboothiri, K Chandrika and others remembered Nedumudi at the function. Nedumudi Venu’s sons Kannan and Unni also participated in the function.
