Long queues of departures formed at Terminal 1 of Sofia Airport this morning.
The problem is because of in-place checking of the new bypass devices. They were installed on March 6 this year, announcing that “between 10 and 12 passengers can be checked in per minute on one device”.
When the line was forming this morning, not all the machines were working, causing people to crowd.
On Friday, October 5, former MP Maria Capon commented on social networks that passengers were missing their flights.
“In the morning there was a queue of 2000 people and even though we were more than 2 hours early it turned out that the plane took off without a large part of the passengers. To top it off, not all luggage was removed. We are making a general complaint,” said Capon, quoted by bTV.
“In the huge queue, as they say, we are “air Schengen”, only 3 digital scanners were working at the entrance. Then a huge queue at the checks and so, you arrive 15 minutes before the flight, out of breath, sweaty and nervous to be told that they don’t know who is responsible,” she adds.
“After a row: we don’t know, we don’t answer, didn’t you understand that it’s not our job, a girl was found to at least say that the next flight is at 7 and for the luggage somewhere you will have to look for it in Madrid, because you information through the system they don’t have,” Maria Capon also wrote in her post.
