You must have seen the stories of pirates in many Hollywood films, but now filmmaker Hansal Mehta, who has brought great web series like ‘Scam’ and ‘Scoop’ on OTT, has brought a new web series ‘Lutere’ on the same subject. This series based on Somalian pirates has been directed by his son Jai Mehta, two episodes of which have been streamed. Whereas, the remaining episodes will be released one by one every Thursday on a weekly basis.

Story of ‘Lutere’ web series

The beginning of the series is exciting. The way Jai takes us into the world of his characters in the first episode, with its fast-paced (peppy) music, colorful color palette and long aerial shots, attracts attention. The story begins with the plight of Indian Vikrant Gandhi (Vivek Gomber) who has made Somalia his home. Vikrant’s father-in-law was the illegitimate king of Somalia i.e. a big rich man with black business, but after his passing, the responsibility of saving his sinking business fell on Vikrant’s shoulders. Vikrant’s condition in business is tight. His only support is the post of Port President, but this post is also going to be snatched away from him in the upcoming re-election. Meanwhile, one of his ships is about to reach Somalia, which has a lot of valuable (illegal) goods. Somalian officials become aware of this. Now Vikrant has only one option that this ship should not reach the port somehow, otherwise his reputation will definitely be lost, the punishment will be different. In such a situation, one of his friends hands the ship over to the pirates. Now what does this encounter between the ship’s Captain AK Singh (Rajat Kapoor), his team and the pirates bring? Does this plan succeed or does someone else take a different approach? To know this you will have to watch the series.

Review of ‘Lutere’ web series:

As already mentioned, the series has a fascinating beginning. In terms of Indian cinema, the audience gets connected to this world due to a new type of subject and stylish treatment. The visuals of ships frolicking on the ocean waves make it worth watching on the big screen. In terms of acting, Rajat Kapoor, Vivek Gomber, Amrita, everyone’s acting is effortless. However, the pace of events slows down a bit in the second episode, which reduces the excitement and excitement for the next episode. The biggest drawback of the series is that its episodes are released on a weekly basis, which spoils the fun of the binge watching audience.

Why watch: You can enjoy this series for a trip to the new world of Somalian pirates.
