On October 13, 2024, the singer Lucas Arnau reported that some people entered his house located in the municipality of Rionegro, Antioquia to steal his belongings.
The artist from Medellín made the complaint on his X account, which quickly went viral. Immediately, the competent authorities were present at the scene to get clues that would allow them to arrest the criminals.

In a video published on his Instagram account, the Paisa singer provided more details about the robbery he was the victim of. According to Arnau, it was some armed men threatened the staff of his house, although they were unaffected, that they could not do anything to prevent the thieves from taking some valuables.

“We called the police and they didn’t answer us. I told my manager: send an emergency (…) We were going very fast down the road, trying to get to help my employees. We became very nervous because we didn’t know what we were going to get,” said Arnau.
Fortunately there were no injuries, but the residence’s employees were exposed to danger. After getting their loot, the thieves fled through a forest near the house, and managed to escape from the National Police.
“My employees were in danger, because the thieves who entered my house armed after a robbery tried to escape through a forestthey got lost in the forest, had to turn back, go past my house and my employee’s house again to be able to leave the property,” he explained.
The singer-songwriter thanked all his fans and Internet users who shared the news and sent him messages of support during this difficult time. In addition, he recognized the quick management of the authorities and the support of the local leaders, the governor of Antioquia, Andrés Rendón; the mayor of Rionegro, Jorge Rivas; and the mayor of Medellín, Federico Gutiérrez.
“Thank you all for the great support network that was activated so that the authorities responded immediately and they could avoid tragedy. Thank you all for your messages, everything is under control now,” he stated.
Despite the help of the citizens and the response of the authorities, the singer confirmed that it was not possible to arrest anyone involved, because it was difficult for the uniformed officers to enter the forest due to the weather conditions.
“They could not confront the thieves because when they appeared they hid in the forest for the night the police could not enter the forest because it was very dangerous to search for them at the that time The boys gave up on a lot of material things,” he explained.
