Silver was won by German Merle Fröbele, who lost 0.064 seconds in the sum of two runs. Austrian Lisa Schulte was a thousandth of a second slower, but Aparjode lost 0.024 seconds to the top three.

Kaluma was 0.607 seconds behind Bota, and Sirsniņa – 1.689 seconds.

Botha, despite a shoulder injury, made a successful start in the first run and was the fastest competitor at the finish with 41.534 seconds. At the finish, Bota was ahead of the previous leader Aparjodi by 0.087 seconds, but later German Julia Taubitz and Schulte got between them, losing 0.046 and 0.082 seconds, respectively.

Kaluma, who played her last race of the season in singles, was 0.38 seconds behind, while Sirsniņa, despite making several mistakes, lost only 0.738 seconds. The debutant Sirsniņa, who was out of the top 20, beat her by a mere three thousandths of a second.

In the second race, Botha showed the best time at the start, but the sixth result on the track, but saved the overall victory. Taubica’s mistake prevented her from staying in the top three, and the German remained ninth.

Kaluma, like in the first race and overall, had the 14th place, while Sirsniņa showed the 19th result in the second race.

Out of 30 participants of the competition, the best 20 qualified for the second race.

On Sunday, there will be a team relay and a men’s singles competition.

In the 2024/2025 season, the World Cup stages will still take place in Germany, South Korea and China. The fifth stage of the competition will take place on January 11 and 12 at the German track in Altenberg, and the sixth stage on January 18 and 19 – at another German track in Winterberg, and at the same time there will be the European Championship. On the other hand, the world championship will take place on the Whistler track in Canada from February 6 to 8.
