MacBook Pro and Mac mini with M2 Apple postponed to 2023

by time news

Apple has no plans to launch any more computers this year, although there were several rumors about the arrival of the 14- and 16-inch MacBooks and the M2-based Mac mini. According to Bloomberg, however, the iPad Pro will be the last device this year to receive a version that mounts the latest chip born in the Apple house. The analyst Mark Gurman has in fact revealed that according to Apple’s production lines, the new Macbooks and the new Mac mini will not be launched before the beginning of 2023, in detail in the first quarter, from January to April. Gurman goes even deeper and says Apple never launched any new products in January or February, so the commercialization of the new computers is very likely to happen in March, in the first half of the month. Both computers, notebook and desktop, should maintain an aesthetic identical to the generations currently on the market, including the notch on the camera introduced in Apple’s Pro laptops with the latest version, which then also arrived on MacBook Air. The Mac mini, then, is not updated from the M1 model of 2020, so it is reasonable to expect the arrival of the M2 version along with the laptops. Later also iMac, released in 2021 with new colors and M1, should be updated to M2.
