Manchester United beat Brentford 2-1 last Saturday in the eighth round of the Premier League. At Old Trafford, Pinnock opened the scoring for the visitors in first-half stoppage time.
But United managed to equalize in the first minute of the second half. Rashford played for Garnacho to find the net and leave everything level on the scoreboard. The home side began to dominate the proceedings, creating good chances and, in the 16th minute, Höjlund dug in, controlling the turnover and the final score of the game as well.

The win was a relief for the Red Devils, who had not won in the Premier League for four rounds. Erik ten Hag’s team last won against Southampton, on September 14. Since then, United have collected two goalless draws, against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa, and a 3-0 win against Tottenham.
With the result, Manchester United reached 11 points and rose to 10th place in the table. Brentford have dropped one place, and are now in 12th place with 10 points.
Now United leave the Premier League aside, because they are committed to the Europa League. The team visits Fenerbahce on Thursday (24) for the third round of the competition. Brentford only return to the field next Saturday (26), when they face Ipswich in the ninth round of the Premier League.
