The attack took place in Naransena area between midnight and 2.15 am. The deceased soldiers were posted in the 128th battalion of CRPF deployed in Naransena area of ​​Bishnupur district of the state.

Meanwhile, Manipur Chief Electoral Officer, Pradeep Kumar Jha said there were fewer incidents of violence outside Manipur in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections on Friday. The official said that till the evening the voting percentage was in the range of 75 per cent and there were no major disruptions.
