Zurich – Just in time for the start of the season, ski star Marco Odermatt has set the course for the future off the piste. The 27-year-old from Nidwalden announces the early extension of his contract with his main sponsor Red Bull and the entry as an investor in his long-term equipment partner X-Bionic.
A multi-year extension of the collaboration with the Austrian drinks manufacturer Red Bull was agreed ahead of schedule. Red Bull has been Odermatt’s main sponsor since the 21/22 season and is therefore also present on the Olympic champion’s helmet. Before that, there was already a link with the global company through bottle sponsorship.
The long-term commitment shows mutual understanding and is also an important building block for Odermatt’s future career path. In particular, the opportunities offered by the Athlete Performance Center in Thalgau near Salzburg as well as the many years of expertise in the ski circus offer Odermatt great prospects in order to achieve further sporting career goals.
Investor at X-BIONIC
Odermatt became an entrepreneur himself by becoming an investor in a Swiss performance sports brand X-BIONIC. For 25 years it has stood for highly innovative materials and patented technologies. And Odermatt has been part of the brand for many years. As part of the collaboration, the double world champion will contribute his experience in the future, among other things, to promote product innovations and inspire the sports community worldwide for the X-BIONIC brand.
Odermatt is quoted in a statement as looking forward to further developing the technologies and products together with the X-BIONIC team and positioning the company as a global market leader. (mc/page)
