Marking of Earth Hour in Fredrikstad
Today marks Earth Hour. Then the lights go out on signal buildings all over the world.
In Fredrikstad, Fredrikstad Cathedral, Aktive Fredrikstad and the municipality invite you to “a quiet hour for the earth” with yoga and music in the cathedral.
– It’s great to be able to mark Earth Hour by doing an activity and at the same time use the hour for reflection, says Anne Skauen in Aktive Fredrikstad.
Earth Hour is a grassroots movement for nature and the environment, and was started by WWF in Sydney in 2007. After this, Earth Hour has become a global movement.
Earth Hour is always marked on the last Saturday in March, from 8.30pm to 9.30pm.
