In the opinion of the organizers, the 53rd edition of this essential event on the local and national cultural scene, placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has kept all its promises, through a rich and diverse program, with as new this year “thematic evenings” at the Bahia Palace, in addition to the holding of an international evening highlighting Chinese, Indonesian and Moroccan artistic groups, as well as a special segment entitled “Les Nuits des Étoiles”, which made this year tribute to the artist and composer Nouaman Lahlou.
These are laudable efforts whose aim remains to celebrate, as it should be, this national tangible and intangible heritage, and preserve its richness and diversity, they explain.
In a statement to MAP, the director of this 53rd edition, Taleb Bouya Maelainine Atig, highlighted the magnificence of the artistic evenings scheduled during this festival, with the participation of different popular arts across the entire national territory. , in order to highlight this exceptional mosaic of Moroccan intangible heritage.
Maelainine Atig, also a heritage researcher, noted the enthusiasm and massive attendance aroused by these evenings, which denotes the serious and fruitful work carried out tirelessly by the organizers and encourages us to persevere on the same path in the service of preservation. of this national legacy, ensuring that the torch is passed on to young people.

For her part, Fatima Chalha Sbaiya, president of the Houara troupe, insisted on the role of this event in the preservation of this heritage, while allowing folklore troupes to meet and mix with each other.
After reviewing her long experience and her contribution to the promotion of this legacy through her participation in artistic events in the four corners of the world, this artist with proven talent welcomed this type of initiative tending to preserve this heritage, a source of pride for Moroccans and to pass it on to future generations.
Approached by the MAP, artists and presidents of artistic associations participating in this edition also welcomed this initiative, stressing that this festival is intended to be a space for reunions between popular arts troupes from different regions of the Kingdom.
Fruit of a partnership between the Grand Atlas Association and the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication and benefiting from the support of the prefecture of the Marrakech-Safi region, the Regional Council, the Municipal Council and the commune of Mechouar-Kasbah, this cultural event was a joyful occasion to celebrate an integral part of the national identity, both multiple and unified.
Initiated under the theme “Eternal Rhythms and Symbols”, this 53rd edition of the FNAP brought together for the occasion hundreds of artists from more than 30 Moroccan folk troupes as well as numerous international troupes from China, Indonesia and the Burkina Faso.
