Maruti Suzuki India has recently signed a land allotment agreement with the state government of Haryana to set up its largest manufacturing facility in Kharkhoda, Haryana. This includes land, car manufacturing plant and some common infrastructure for future plant support.

The 800 acres of land allotted under the present contract is worth about Rs. 20,000 crore investment. Of this, Rs 2,131 crore has already been paid for the land. The Industrial Model Township (IMT) in Korkota, where Maruti Suzuki will set up its new plant, is an integrated industrial city built on an area of ​​approximately 3,217 acres with world-class infrastructure.

Due to its proximity to Delhi and its direct connection with Delhi Bahadurgarh, Gurugram and Sonipat via the KMP Expressway, Kharkota IMT is expected to be the next hub for industrial development in Haryana. We further expanded our center with a 600 acre R&D center in Rohtak. He also thanked Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal and Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chaudhary for their support in allocating land to set up the new plant.

While Maruti Suzuki already has two manufacturing plants in Haryana, the third plant to be set up at Kharkota will have a production capacity of about 250,000 vehicles. The plant is expected to be completed and operational by the end of 2025. Meanwhile, the Haryana government has said that the new plant will provide employment to 13,000 people.
