Special Olympics: Medals won by Guatemala in Asunción
Los Latin American Games They are held in Asunción, Paraguay, from Tuesday October 1 to Tuesday October 15, 2024, where Guatemala brought a delegation that will seek to excel in all disciplines.
The jousts bring together more than 1000 athletes from 20 countries in the region, in which there will be competition in 14 sports disciplines and 4 will be exhibitions. All participants seek to make their best marks in the disciplines of Bocce, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Tennis, Badminton, Triathlon and Futsal.
That is why Guatemala feels well represented and proud of each of the members of the delegation who give themselves in each test, where they are already winners and leave a legacy for their sacrifice. What a chilero!
The Guatemalan medalists in Asunción
The Chapina delegationuntil Monday, October 7, 2024, has achieved five medals: two gold, two silver and one bronze, in the IV Latin American Games of Asunción 2024where those selected have shown their excitement in each competition. Below we tell you who and in what specialties they have stood out:
- Ana Martinez has two gold medals in the specialties of 25 meters backstroke and 25 meters freestyle.
- Minelly Lopez won silver medal in the female branch in the specialty of bowls.
- Angel Hernandez got silver medal in the men’s branch in the bocce specialty
- Odir Enriquez was awarded the bronze medal in aquaathlon. Due to inclement weather in Asunción, the triathlon competition became an aquathlon.
These athletes have demonstrated exemplary dedication and undeniable talent, earning their place to represent their country in a high-level competition such as the Latin American Games.
