The Russian budget will receive about 16 billion rubles. annually from the attraction of convicts to paid work. This is reported by TASS with reference to an explanatory note to the draft federal budget for 2022-2024.
As follows from the document, in 2021 income from attracting convicts will amount to 15.2 billion rubles, and in 2022 it is projected at 15.8 billion rubles. In 2023, revenues are estimated at 15.9 billion rubles, and in 2024 at 16.2 billion rubles.
Earlier, the FSIN reported that the average salary of prisoners is 20-24 thousand rubles, in some cases it reaches 220 thousand rubles. At the same time, the average salary of those sentenced to forced labor who are serving sentences at the facilities of enterprises is higher than the salaries of those sentenced to imprisonment.
