Reba McEntire’s First Season on ‘The Voice’ Proves Successful

Replacing a veteran like Blake Shelton on “The Voice” was no easy task, but country music legend Reba McEntire has proven to be a force to reckon with in her first season as a coach. With 23 seasons under his belt, Shelton was a tough act to follow, but McEntire has formed a strong team of singers and has a good shot at securing a win.

During the Playoffs episode on Nov. 27, McEntire cut her team down to three singers, and here’s a look at the remaining competitors on her team.

Ruby Leigh, a 16-year-old country singer and yodeler from Foley, Missouri, has impressed all four coaches with her standout performance of Patsy Montana’s “I Want To Be a Cowboy’s Sweetheart.” She ultimately chose to join McEntire’s team and has stayed on her team for her entire run on the show so far.

Jordan Rainer, a 33-year-old country singer from Atoka, Oklahoma, got a four-chair turn with her rock-infused rendition of McEntire’s hit, “Fancy.” Despite the praise from all of the coaches, she chose to join McEntire’s team and has stayed for her entire run on the show so far.

Jacquie Roar, a 37-year-old singer from North Plains, Oregon, impressed all four coaches with her ability to shift from country to rock seamlessly. Initially choosing Stefani’s team, she ended up joining McEntire’s team and has remained on her team since the Battle round.

However, it was revealed that 31-year-old Tom Nitti from New York, who was on McEntire’s team, had to unexpectedly leave the competition for personal reasons.

Overall, McEntire has proven to be a formidable coach, with a strong team and good chances of securing a win in her first season on the show. “The Voice” airs Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC, so stay tuned for updates on Team Reba’s progress.
