Sacrificial lamp
Today is the second day of fasting of the martyr Deepam Dileepan, who sacrificed her life in the cause of the liberation of Tamils by chanting the liberation slogan “Let the people’s revolution explode and let the freedom of Tamil Eelam bloom”.
The commemoration events of Dilepan, who died in Nallur Munral by presenting a five-point demand for the liberation of the Eelam Tamil people, started yesterday on Thursday 15th and will continue for 12 days till Monday 26th.
During this memorial flame will be lit by the parents of the heroes every day.
Memories of Deepam Dilepan who sacrificed his life for the rights of the Tamil people by going on a hunger strike without drinking water for 12 days from 15.09.1987 to 26.09.1987 in Jaffna and Nallur.
