Lionel Messi is officially released from Barcelona from today 1 July 2021. La Pulce, currently engaged in the America’s Cup with Argentina, can therefore freely marry into another team on a free transfer. Given the high wage (about 100 million euros gross per season), very few teams can afford to buy the striker even if he is released.
