Hundreds of people demonstrated on the bridges today in protest against Netanyahu and his nascent government, led by Merav Michaeli. The demonstration was under the title “Once a merchant – always a merchant. Netanyahu is selling our country.”
The chairman of the Labor Party, Minister Merav Michaeli, arrived with members of Knesset Naama Lazimi and Rabbi Gilad Karib and dozens of other activities and activists to the Halacha bridge.
“Once a merchant – always a merchant! Netanyahu is selling our country, selling the girls and boys, the soldiers and women, the rights of women, the rights of the gay community and the rights of minorities.
Netanyahu’s legacy will be a divided, dysfunctional state with religious extremism that shames the State of Israel and is very undemocratic. We will not let him sell our country. With religious extremism that shames the Jewish State of Israel. We will be here, day after day, week after week to make it clear that the State of Israel is not for sale – we will fight until we win!”
