American corporation Microsoft together with Mastercard and Barclays bank announced a new Xbox Mastercard payment card, with which you can spend cashback on purchasing games. Its service will be free, and it will also provide three months of free Xbox Game Pass.
After each purchase, the cardholder will receive points, which can later be spent on games or add-ons in the Xbox Store. When using the card for purchases in the Microsoft Store, five times as many points will be returned to the card; when paying for streaming Netflix and Disney+, as well as food delivery services Grubhub and DoorDash, three times as many points will be returned. Also, Xbox Mastercard owners will receive a bonus of 5 thousand points (equivalent to $50) for their first purchase using the card. There will be five possible payment card designs available.
Members of the Xbox Insider program will be able to purchase the card starting September 21, and starting in 2024, all US residents will have this opportunity. Microsoft does not yet plan to release the card in other countries.
