Mihail Kõlvart elected new chairman of the Center Party

At the extraordinary congress of the Center Party in Paide on Sunday, Tallinn Mayor Mikhail Kõlvart was elected as the new party chairman, beating the second candidate Tanel Kiik by a noticeable margin, BNS reports.

1046 ballots were cast into the ballot box, of which 543 were for Kõlvart and 489 for Kiik. There were 14 invalid ballots.

Jüri Ratas, Jaak Aab, Lauri Laats, Taavi Aas, Vadim Belobrovtsev, Vladimir Svet, Jana Toom, Jaan Toots, Andrei Korobeinik, Marika Tuus-Laul, Jaanus Karilaid, Maria Jufereva-Skuratovski, Andre Hanimägi and Mihkel were elected to the board of the Center Party Undrest.

Kalle Klandorf was elected chairman of the court of honor. Andres Jaadla, Kalle Jõks, Andres Kalvik, Andres Kollist, Evi Paasmäe, Reet Rei and Eha Võrk were elected to the audit committee.

20 party members ran for the party board. Kalle Klandorf and Marco Shorin ran for president of the court of honor. 10 party members ran for membership in the audit commission.
