Javier Milei, president of Argentina, received a severe setback in the Senate, after his megadecree was rejected, called decree of necessity and urgency 70/2023 or DNU, which must now pass to the Chamber of Deputies.
The president did not react in the best way, sharing on social networks a series of messages from his followers against the parliamentarians who did not support him.
“The political caste vs. the Argentine people. Those in red are all traitors to the country, who want everything to remain the same. They don’t care about the poor, they don’t care about the country. They only care about their jobs as idiotic politicians,” is one of the messages shared by Milei.

Despite this setback in the Upper House, the megadecree remains in force until it passes through the Chamber of Deputies, where if it is also rejected it would be without effect.
