The Minister of Youth and Sports, Georgi Glushkov, met with the President of the European Field Hockey, Marcos Hoffmann. The main focus of the conversation was the Strategic Development Plan of the Bulgarian Field Hockey Federation (BFHT).
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister Petar Mladenov and the chairman of BFHT, Jorg Shenk.
Marcos Hoffman informed that six federations are supported by the European field hockey, one of which is the Bulgarian one. “We have been working hard and we are ready to present what we have prepared. European field hockey really supports the Bulgarian federation, we have a special interest in it for several reasons,” commented Hoffman.
Minister Glushkov, for his part, expressed his support for the strategic vision of the two organizations.
“I am glad to see a strong coordination between you, and that the National Sports Academy also has a key place in the strategic plan,” said Glushkov, as quoted by the MMS press center.
The minister and his deputy were introduced to the goals of the plan according to which the BFHT will develop until 2028. The main areas that will be emphasized in the next four years were also presented, namely: development of hockey centers, hockey for all, development of the shots, inspiration of the next, support through communication. The possibilities for financing the construction of field hockey fields in our country were discussed, as well as what European hockey programs train their leaders in Europe.
