A consultation meeting with government officials, a gold medal ceremony, and a district youth working committee meeting were all scheduled to take place in Virudhunagar tomorrow under the leadership of Minister Udhayanidhi at various locations within the district.
The meeting was set to be held at the District Collector’s office meeting hall, followed by a public ceremony near Tyagi Shankaralinganar Manimandapam on Virudhunagar College Road, and later a district youth working committee meeting at Thitil near the Municipal Commissioner’s House. The construction of large halls for these events had been underway for the past five days.
However, all the programs that Minister Udayanidhi was supposed to participate in have been suddenly cancelled. The DMK party announced that due to the prediction of rain, the study meeting and other party functions involving Udayanidhi Stalin have been postponed, with plans to reschedule these events for a later date.
The cancellation comes in the wake of strong opposition from Hindu organizations, who have condemned Minister Udayanidhi for his recent comments about Sanatana Dharma.
