BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has returned home from Singapore after health check-up.

On Saturday (March 23) around 6 pm, he landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) International Airport in Dhaka.

BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed this information. He said that BNP Secretary General is scheduled to participate in the iftar organized in honor of the diplomats appointed in Dhaka by the initiative of BNP at Hotel Westin on Sunday.

Secretary General of BNP went to Singapore with his wife on March 4 for health examination. 77-year-old Mirza Fakhrul had earlier gone to Singapore for treatment. He went to Singapore last on August 24, 2023.

It is known that after going to Singapore, the Secretary General of BNP took the advice of specialist doctors of two hospitals. Several physical tests were done there. Doctors said there is no reason to worry about his health.

Incidentally, Mirza Fakhrul was released on bail on February 15 after almost three and a half months of imprisonment. During this time he lost six kg. After his release, Mirza Fakhrul consulted Professor Shamsul Arefin at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in Dhaka and was treated at home under his supervision.
