MJF Returns to Independent Wrestling wiht Limitless Wrestling Appearance
A highly anticipated return to the independent circuit is set for Maxwell Jacob Friedman, known to fans as MJF, as he’s scheduled to appear for Limitless Wrestling on January 16, 2026. The announcement marks a homecoming for the star, who first gained prominence with the promotion.
The “Salt of the Earth” will be featured at the Limitless Rumble event, taking place at The Colisée in Lewiston, Maine. This venue holds significant boxing history, having hosted the 1965 rematch between Muhammad Ali and Sonny Liston. While a wrestling match for MJF has not been officially confirmed, he is slated for a ticketed VIP meet-and-greet before the show begins.
This appearance strategically precedes a major challenge for MJF: a bid for the AEW World Championship at Worlds End just over a week later. The wrestler’s connection to Limitless Wrestling runs deep, having captured their inaugural World Title in March 2019 before moving to All Elite Wrestling full-time later that year.
“This is a significant moment for both MJF and Limitless Wrestling,” stated a senior official. “It represents a full-circle moment for a talent who began his journey with us.”
The Limitless Rumble card boasts additional star power, including Eddie Kingston, making his first appearance for the promotion as 2018. A WWE ID Women’s Title match is also scheduled, featuring Laynie Luck and B3CCA.
