New Delhi: A picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been removed from the Kovid vaccination certificate. The action comes in the wake of the Code of Conduct coming into force in these states.

As the code of conduct has come into force in the five states where elections are being held, PTI reports that Covin will make the necessary changes to the app to remove the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the Kovid vaccination certificate issued to the people in these states.

Assembly elections in five states, including Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, will be held from February 10 to March 7 in different phases. The counting of votes will take place on March 10. Voting in UP is in seven phases. Two phases in Manipur. In Punjab, Uttarakhand and Goa, the one-day polls will be held on the same day.

In the wake of the Kovid expansion, the Election Commission has banned rallies, public meetings and road shows everywhere until January 15. This is the first time that the Commission has imposed a temporary ban on public meetings, road shows and rallies during elections. Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra told a news conference that a decision would be taken after assessing the situation.
