Mon Laferte reported on the meeting he had with the program’s top leaders, including Rafael Araneda, questioning the lack of reaction after learning about Jaime Román’s actions.
Mon Laferte was on Podemos Hablar, where he provided new details of the harassment suffered at the hands of producer Jaime Román, convicted of sexual crimes against minors, when he was in Rojo.
“He was a music producer, but from the records side, stale. He invited me to his house, he told me that he had to get a jacuzzi. Later,when I had to release the second album,I had my own songs,they where terrible,but I defended them. He told me: We could make an exception if you’re cool with me. Then he grabbed my hand, my waist.I don’t even want to remember that old guy. I passed by and he made (degenerate) sounds to me like when one passes by on the street. T“Everyone said that about him,” recalled the national artist.
In this line, He gave an account of the meeting he had with the top leaders of the program, among them Rafael Araneda, questioning the lack of reaction after learning about Román’s actions.
“I had been thinking about leaving the program for years… So I used that resource as an escape route,I gathered people to a meeting and told them,they would never have imagined it and that they would do something about it,I’m still waiting,They didn’t do anything. The director, Eduardo Domínguez, Roberto Apud, Jorge Soiza and Rafael Araneda. “They told me that they had never imagined something like this, but I never had any feedback”he accused.
After this,Mon Laferte saw the statements of the host of Rojo and the Viña del mar 2025 Festival,where he stated that he was not aware of the facts.
Given this, the singer based in Mexico stated that “I don’t know Rafa, I know that this is difficult for him, I mean I don’t want to screw Rafa. ANDOr I’m telling you my truth and probably even he doesn’t remember, maybe it was just another day in his life, who knows.”
