In the midst of the celebrations of Halloween y day of the dead, he arrives Morbid Horror Film Festivalwith unique titles that possibly “will never be seen again in movie theaters in Mexico,” said its programmer Fernanda Río.

This horror festival has among its protagonists films of the folk genre, restorations and contemporary classics that will arrive at its 11 different venues from October 29 to November 10, which includes the National Cinematheque of the Artsfor the first time.
“As every year the logic is the same, we seek to bring the best of the who of genre that has been in some others festivals in the world and that have given something to talk about among some of the least known circuits on this side,” Río said in an interview with this medium.

One of the strongest cards due to its popularity is the slasher Terrifier 3which reaches Morbid, prior to its national release in commercial movie theaters, but another classic slasher joins this celebration and is The Texas Chainsaw Massacrewhich will be seen in its restored version in 4k for its 50th anniversary.
“This film arrives as part of the section of Morbid Classics, but we didn’t just want to give a function of it, that’s why we are going to include, prior to the film, the function of Chainsaw Reactions, a documentary directed by Alexandre O. Philippe, which interviews personalities like Stephen King, about the reactions to the film,” said the interviewee.

The rescue of the film also stands out King Stakh’s Wild Hunt. “It is a Belarusian film made in the 80s, which is practically unknown and which we read would be restored, I am sure that this film will never be seen in theaters in Mexico again,” she said about the title that will arrive in 2K.
Other titles that deserve an honorable mention are the Mexican A Fisherman’s Tale y The Devil’s Bath which won Best Film at the Sitges Festival.
