In the very style of the Santa Cruz festivities, thousands of Costa Ricans in New Jersey, United States enjoyed the traditional event called “Zapote USA”
It is the fifth time that this event has been held, which brought together just over 3,000 people, at the Finca in New Jersey.
Being outside of Costa Rica was shown not to be an excuse to live our traditions.
Bull riding, paso horses, masquerades and delicious meals were part of this beautiful activity. For those who attended it made them remember their roots.
“Zapote USA” is carried out within the framework of the independence of Costa Rica, in addition to remembering and preserving Costa Rican traditions despite the distance or years that one is away from Costa Rica.
