More than 40 police officers are committed to the holding of the partial elections for mayors in the village of Visoka Polyana in the municipality of Khitrino and in the village of Yasenkovo in the municipality of Venets on October 20, a week before the extraordinary parliamentary elections, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Shumen announced.
The security of the sections has been taken over and all necessary measures have been taken to protect public order and the peaceful progress of the election day in the two settlements, reports BTA.
Reports of violations that could hinder the normal course of the election process can be submitted to phone 112. The Director of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Shumen, Commissioner Georgi Gendov, visited the sections guarded by police officers in the two villages. Mobile teams from the regional administration and the regional directorate in Shumen are also on the ground, monitoring the tranquility of the residents and preventing conflict situations before and during the elections, adds the press center of the police in Shumen.
Partial elections for mayor will be held tomorrow in the villages of Yasenkovo and Visoka Polyana in the Shumen region, the Municipal Election Commissions in Venets and Khitrino also announce on their websites.
