The signing of this cooperation-with-brazil/” title=”Angola wants to reinforce judicial cooperation with Brazil”>Memorandum, which illustrates the quality and depth of relations between the two countries, marked in particular by the historical ties of esteem uniting the Illustrious Royal Family and the Japanese Imperial Family, defines the main axes of future cooperation between Morocco and Japan.
Thus, the two countries reaffirm, in this document, their commitment to work together for the preservation of peace and international order, based on the principles and objectives of the Charter of the United Nations, as well as on the principles of respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Regarding the strengthening of bilateral cooperation, the Memorandum identifies several priority areas of cooperation, particularly in the economic and commercial, food, fisheries, cultural, scientific and technical research, space, as well as in the field of combat against the effects of climate change and the management of water resources.
In order to implement these priority areas of cooperation, the document provides for the regular holding of joint commissions bringing together participants from all sectors concerned, as well as coordination meetings between the competent Moroccan authorities and representatives of the Japanese Cooperation Agency. International and the Japanese Foreign Trade Organization, based in Morocco.
The objective of these concrete mechanisms will be the implementation and concerted monitoring of the various projects that will emanate from the said Memorandum.
Regarding cooperation at the multilateral level, the document provides for the strengthening of exchanges and coordination within the various international bodies on all subjects of common interest.
