Morocco–Korea: Joint communiqué on the launch of exploratory discussions for the establishment of a legal framework on trade and investment
Seoul – The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, and the Minister of Commerce of the Republic of Korea, Inkyo Cheong, signed, Sunday in Seoul, the Joint Communiqué on the launch of exploratory discussions for the establishment of a legal framework on trade and investment between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Korea, with a view to an Enhanced Partnership Agreement (EPA).
This announcement sets the stage for beginning discussions on the promotion of investments and the strengthening of economic exchanges and constitutes a strong signal to economic operators in both countries.
The Economic Partnership Agreement, which will strengthen the existing partnership framework between the two countries, will play a significant role in promoting trade and investment and will also constitute a foundation for boosting their respective economic development.
The two ministers agreed to continue high-level economic cooperation and to launch and finalize exploratory discussions as soon as possible to enable negotiations to begin.
