Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Oil announced a movement to increase refining capacity in Iraqi refineries, while indicating that important steps have been achieved in the gas investment file.
The ministry’s spokesman, Assem Jihad, told the (INA): “Among the ministry’s plans is to work to increase the refining capacity in Iraqi refineries,” noting that “there is careful follow-up of the refineries and the addition of new units to increase production and transform from an importing country to a self-sufficient country.” “And this issue comes gradually.”
He pointed out, “Important steps have been achieved in the gas investment file, as the continuous follow-up by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani with officials has led to reducing problems in this regard,” warning that “those steps lead to accelerating achievements in the oil file.”
