MRE: more than MAD 108.67 billion in fund transfers at the end of November (Foreign Exchange Office)
Rabat – Fund transfers made by Moroccans living abroad (MRE) stood at more than 108.67 billion dirhams (billion dirhams) at the end of November 2024, compared to 105.68 billion dirhams during the same period a year earlier , according to the Foreign Exchange Office.
These transfers are up 2.8% (+2.99 billion dirhams) compared to the end of November 2023, specifies the Office in its recent bulletin on monthly indicators of foreign trade.
This bulletin also reports a surplus in the balance of services down slightly by 0.5% to 123.28 billion dirhams, due to an increase in imports of services (+13.8%) which is greater than that of exports (+6.3%).
As for travel receipts, they stood at around 104.47 billion dirhams at the end of last November, compared to 97.47 billion dirhams a year earlier.
Travel expenses amounted to MAD 26.70 billion (+20.2%). The travel surplus improved by 3.3% to MAD 77.77 billion at the end of November 2024.
