MSV Duisburg: Caspar Jander is out indefinitely

by time news

Duisburg No early move to 1. FC Nürnberg, but a knee injury. The zebras have to do without the top performer.

This is hard to beat in terms of bitterness. Only recently did MSV Duisburg finally clarify that Caspar Jander would only move to 1. FC Nürnberg in the summer and not immediately, i.e. in the middle of the relegation battle in the 3rd football league. And now this: In the home game on Sunday evening against SSV Jahn Regensburg (0:1), the Zebras’ top talent suffered a knee injury and will now be out indefinitely.

more on the subject

Jander moved from Preußen Münster to Borussia Dortmund as a twelve-year-old, moved on to FC Schalke 04 two years later and joined MSV Duisburg in 2021. The 20-year-old has also been a U-20 national player since 2023. For a long time it was unclear whether the midfielder would move to the Franconians during the course of the season. MSV was able to prevent this, but now has to do without the important player.
