Today, Tuesday, the President of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, Aqeel Muften, urged sports federations to work diligently and plan correctly in order to keep pace with developments in sports work and achieve sports achievements at the Arab, continental and international levels.
Muftin said in a statement during his meeting today with a number of heads of sports federations, which was reviewed by the (INA), that “the next stage requires everyone’s continuous work and correct planning in order to modify and correct the course of Iraqi sports.” He added, “He is also working to prepare all means of success and fertile ground, including saving money. In return, everyone must work in a spirit of dedication and sincerity.” Pointing out the importance of benefiting from previous failed experiences to achieve sporting achievements, as it is not acceptable for our sport to occupy seventh place in the Arab world and lagging behind in Asia.”
At the end of his speech, he stressed that he would reveal all the details that led to the decline of Iraqi sports in the event of failure again.
