Artificial Intelligence’s Jensheng Huang of INVIDIA and Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani have announced that both the companies have signed an agreement to bring AI in India. Both announced that the ‘Nvidia Summit India’ event is going on at Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai. Reliance Industries Limited Chairman Mukesh Ambani said that Jio has now become the world’s largest data company. Nvidia Founder and CEO Jensen Huang announced that Reliance and Nvidia are together creating Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure in India. This partnership will be an important step towards making India a leading country in the field of AI.
Nvidia Founder and CEO Jensen Huang praised Mukesh Ambani’s efforts in making India a deep technology hub. Praising the potential of India’s IT sector, Huang said, “There are very few countries in the world where there are so many trained people in the field of computer science and IT.” Jensen Huang said, “This is an extraordinary time, where India has a large number of computer engineers and a huge population. I am honored to work with Mukesh Ambani on this partnership.
Mukesh Ambani said that the benefits of Artificial Intelligence should reach every Indian, but also that it should be available at affordable prices. Mukesh Ambani said that we have to ensure that people can get AI on our phones and computers. It is our responsibility to make this new technology easily accessible to the people and we will have to accomplish it together.
Ambani said that India is one of the youngest countries in the world. India is fast becoming the innovation hub of the world and we have the best digital connectivity infrastructure in the world. Jio provides data at a low cost of 15 percent per GB, whereas in the US it is five dollars per GB.
