One of the richest people in the world Elon Musk (No. 2 on the Forbes list with a net worth of $195 billion) has promised to give away $1 million every day until the November 5 presidential election to those who signed his online petition to defend the US Constitution. He announced this while speaking at a meeting with voters in Pennsylvania in support of Republican Donald Trump, Day.Az reports with reference to RBC.
At the same event, Musk presented the first check. The winner was state resident John Dreher.
“The only thing we ask for in order to get a million dollars is that you sign the petition,” the businessman added.
The US presidential election will take place on November 5th. According to the latest Bullfinch Group polling data, Democratic Rep. Kamala Harris leads Trump in three swing states – Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania (in the latter only if citizens are asked to choose between themselves and a third candidate, otherwise both get a tie). Nationally, according to the NYT, Harris leads Trump by 2 percentage points (49 to 47%).
